Now having a child, time seems to fly by even faster than ever before. And now 13 months later I have this little man that is walking, talking/babbling and full of personality! He laughs a lot and cries some and is so curious about the world around him. He touches EVERYTHING and will put things away and then pull them out and then put them away again, and bang things together. My favorite is when he plays with our dogs, climbing all over them, pulling at their ears and tail and throwing the ball for them and getting so excited when they fetch for him. He still loves the outdoors more than anything, and even on the coldest day (which we haven’t had many so far), he would rather be bundled up outside than stuck indoors. Evan is definitely all boy, he loves getting dirty and we’ve been practicing his throwing arm in case he wants to play baseball. It amazes me that every month I have seriously made the statement “this is my favorite stage!” and every month just gets more and more fun with him. My husband and I will just watch him walk or run laps around the house checking things out, pushing his cars or even highchair all over the house making the “vvvvroooooom” noise that I taught him.
I could have never imagined motherhood could be this amazing, and it just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to see what this year brings us for adventures and learning, but I’m not in a hurry, I’ll take it one day at a time and soak up as much of Evan at this age for as long as I can! I love you little man!
