I absolutely love photographing the personalities of kids, just playing, laughing and running around with them.  My family sessions are full of energy because we move a lot, kids don’t want to sit still for long and I’d rather play with them getting them away from that fake “cheese” smile anyway.  I had a BLAST with this family!  In the beginning of the session mom and dad were worried because their middle child didn’t want to take pictures at all and would just cry and run away, but I told them “don’t worry, he will warm up eventually.”  The beginning of a session is always the warm up period where kids are just getting to know me, especially if they’re shy.  But man, once he warmed up he was a ball of energy and we played hard!  I came home with mud and dirt all over my shoes and knees but it was so worth it!  And to top it off, that top photo the family decided to print on metal in a 24×36 for their living room, swoooon!!!
