Ryan & Tiffany :: Fearless Bride

Tomorrow Scott and I will be flying to Seattle to photograph Amber and Daniel’s wedding, which I am so excited about!  But before we leave I just had to blog this session.

Last October, while Tiffany was getting ready for her wedding she told me that she definitely wanted to do a trash the dress session sometime next year and I couldn’t have been more excited!  The Trash the Dress or Fearless Bride session is another excuse to wear your wedding dress again and get it dirty and even wet if you chose, you can take it as far as you feel comfortable with.  It’s everything you wouldn’t have done on your wedding day, although my brides are pretty fearless going into their wedding day which always rocks my world because it allows me to just be creative, knowing they completely trust me.  Tiffany told me ahead of time that she really wanted to trash her dress, get it wet and roll around in the sand, oh yeah!  Tiffany’s mom, Kathleen, was able to have 2 gorgeous show horses for the session as well.  I really think Ryan and Tiffany should be a model couple, they are gorgeous and are so easy to photograph plus the sweetest couple ever!

I can’t decide which one of these I like better, the above or below.  What do you think?

I love love love this one below!

Rawrrrr

The Little Black Book :: Sacramento Boudoir Photographer

I love doing Boudoir sessions with my brides, not only are the sessions a ton of fun but I love when I am able to capture her groom opening his present on the wedding day and seeing his reaction!  I always get a huge “Thank you” from the groom as well.  So I thought I’d share one groom’s reaction.

Look at that smile, can it get any bigger?!

Mike & Teresa, June 25, 2010 :: Sacramento Wedding Photographer

Mike and Teresa are a fun, sporty and very outgoing couple.  I like to call Teresa my sporty spice because even though she never really played sports growing up she looks like she can tear it up on any field, plus they love to snowboard together.  I believe that couples who snowboard together, stay together!  And Teresa and Mike, we will definitely have to take a snow day or a few next season!

One thing I love about this couple, they laugh.  A lot.  Amongst all the stress a wedding brings Teresa was all smiles and laughter and so was Mike (though their day was hardly stressful thanks to their planner Amber).  It also helped that they had a super fun bridal party!  Their ceremony was at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and reception at the Sterling Hotel in downtown Sacramento.  Amber with Platinum Planning was their wonderful planner, I just love her!  Visual Impact beautifully put together their flowers.  Love them too!

Mike and Teresa, have a fabulous honeymoon in St. Lucia and I can’t wait to see pictures and hear all about it!!

Teresa’s ring pillow and garter was made out of her mom’s wedding dress.  Such a great way to incorporate something old and special!

Teresa, you are so beautiful!

Mike & Christie, June 19, 2010 :: David Girard Vineyards Wedding

Immediately when I met Mike and Christie I knew we were a great fit.  They love the outdoors and most of all they love each other, or more like adore each other, it’s really cute.  They were a referral from one of my adorable couples from 2008, Michael and Sarah,  and it was so great to see so many of the same faces again.  Their wedding was at the gorgeous David Girard Vineyards and it was a perfect day in the foothills.

Thank you both for being so awesome and fun to work with!

I could not photograph this little guy enough!  The last time I saw him he was the ring bearer for my other couple in 2008 and his sister (the flower girl) was in mommy’s tummy.

I LOVE David Girard Vineyards Ceremony site.  The light is just beautiful walking down the isle and the backdrop during the ceremony is gorgeous!

The bridal party was large and a ton of fun!

After all of the family and bridal party portraits we were really tight on time so we made sure to take Mike and Christie out for some delicious sunset portraits.

Inside this box lies a chocolate truffle, one that I had to tell myself I could not eat.  And let me tell you, it looked delicious!!  I am a choco-holic, I admit it.

Time to sneak away for some sunset portraits.

Christie, you are simply gorgeous.

And the party continues.

These girls got down and dirty, literally.

Nolan & Jessica’s Vintage Bug Save the Date Video

Drum roll please….Here is Nolan and Jessica’s save the date video thanks to the fabulous Jessica with Lovespun Films and Aimee with 2 Chic Events and Designs for designing the shoot.  I also have to give some love to Audrey with Botanica Floral Design for the bouquet.
