Their wedding day was so fabulous and I was so anxious to work with one of my favorite wedding coordinators, Aimee with 2 Chic Events because I knew she would have lots of details for me to photograph. It was the perfect wedding to kick off fall and the month of October. With fall being the theme of the wedding, pumpkins and fall leaves adorned the ceremony isle and reception dance floor along with the table tops. To top the evening off, we had an amazing sunset that we of course had to take advantage of!
Jen with Image Provocateur always does such a fantastic job with my brides’ hair and makeup!
Audrey with Botanica Floral Designs never ceases to impress! I especially love the fabric and embellishment on the stems.
Jim & Andrea chose to do a First Look and I loved how Jim couldn’t stop saying “Oh my gosh. Wow!” when he was checking out his bride for the first time.
Jim’s family grew by 2 more, adding Andrea’s super sweet son and daughter. Now they’re a big happy family.
Andrea really knows how to work the camera!

Jim and Andrea each wrote words to describe each other that were hung on these branches, and neither one of them knew what they said until the day of their wedding.

As I arrived at the hotel where Rebecca was getting ready at, she was very calm and seemed relaxed sipping on cider and hangin’ with her girls. I could tell it was going to be a great day with this group.
Cathy with Graceful Floral Designs did a beautiful job on all of the flowers.
Christi Reynolds did a fantastic job on Rebecca’s makeup, as always.
I love this moment of Andrew seeing his bride for the first time.

by Jackie 64 comments On my way to Lake Tahoe for a couple photo sessions this week, I stopped at one of my favorite little spots to have some photo fun. My favorite thing about this location is all of the aspen trees surrounding an old falling down building. I was so excited and surprised to see the aspens starting to change, imagine what this place looks like in October! I have always enjoyed photographing nature, it’s actually where I began with photography 18 years ago playing with the 1970’s Nikon camera my dad passed down to me. Wow, did I just say 18 years ago, where has the time gone?! Nature photography is almost like therapy for me, it’s refreshing, beautiful and calming. I always say I need to set more time aside for myself to do more nature photography but it just never happens. Enjoy my two favorite images from my favorite secret spot. And one of these days I will schedule a Fearless Bridal Session for the fall at this location. How gorgeous would it be to put a bride in the midst of all this beauty?!

These two are so adorable, really adorable! I love how Andrea just melts into Jim, and Jim just embraces her. It’s so cute how he never wants to take his eyes off of her either. I think that’s what being in love is all about.
