Ode to the Mustang :: Personal

Since I can remember I have had a love for Mustangs.  As a Freshman in high school I knew the exact Mustang I wanted when I was old enough to drive, a 1996 forest green Mustang Convertible.  When I finally turned 16 and got my license I started browsing around trying to find “the” one and ended up buying a 1966 Mustang “clunker”.  It was in rough shape but my mom and I saw a diamond in the rough and I bought it!

When I went off to college my parents told me I couldn’t take the Mustang with me because, well, it broke down on me about once a week and it wasn’t reliable to drive to college.  So I had to sell her and ended up buying a 1998 royal blue Mustang Convertible!  This car was F.U.N.!  She lasted me all the way up until my last month of college before graduating, I was T-boned by a PT Cruiser and that was enough to total her.  I was devastated to say the least!!

About 4 months later I bought this beauty, a 2006 Mustang GT.  Oh boy was she fun and FAST!  I took her to the Sac Raceway once for some racing fun, didn’t win but I loved every second of it.  Once Evan arrived I knew my days with my Mustang were numbered.  In the beginning I could sort of fit his car seat into the back of the Stang, but once he got into his toddler carseat, that was it, there was no fitting it in there.  So the day has finally come where I have to say good-bye and part ways.  We’ve had a lot of fun times and I will miss her so very much but I guarantee she will not be my last Mustang.

So now I’m on to the next journey, the sporty SUV and I am excited and sad at the same time but I know it will be great and it’s perfect for my little family which is most important.

Gavin :: 6 Months

I was so excited to see this little love because I hadn’t seen him since he was just a few days old at his newborn session!  I was also excited to catch up with his mom and dad as well!  Gavin has grown so much and has such an adorable personality!  He is such a happy boy and I just loved photographing him.  I can’t wait until our next session!

Jackson :: Newborn

Jackson came into the studio just days old and while of course I was excited to meet him, I was really excited to see his mom and dad since I hadn’t seen them since I photographed their wedding back in 2009.  This little guy was so precious and I really enjoyed photographing all of his adorable parts.  I can’t wait to see how much he has grown in 6 months!

Brandon & Katie :: Campbell Wedding Photographer

Brandon and Katie were married at one of the coolest houses I’ve ever seen.  It’s called the Ainsley House in Campbell, CA and the inside of the house was just amazing and so fun to photograph in.  Plus with the weather being about 100 degrees outside, it was a nice relief from the heat.  It was such a beautiful day and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two!

This is what happens when the flower girl and ring bearer are 2 years old, they have their own agenda.

Fearless Photographer Award :: Sacramento Wedding Photographer

This morning I was browsing the awe-inspiring award winning images on the Fearless Photographers website when I suddenly came across MY image!  I was shocked and excited and just in pure dis-belief!  I had won an award for my image!  I feel so very honored to now be amongst the many very talented award winning Fearless Photographers.  I am constantly pushing my skills and trying new things with my art and the Fearless Photographers group always keeps me inspired and helps push me to the next level and I am so very thankful for that!
