Fearless Award!

I am so honored and proud to be a part of a community of full of amazingly talented “Fearless Photographers”.  Every time awards are given out I am just in awe.  This round I was so happily surprised to see one of my images that won!  Being a part of this group inspires me to push my talent and refine my eye for art.

E.Z. & Abbey :: Engaged

E.Z. and Abbey met while working at Abbey’s dad’s restaurant, Tres Agaves.  They were friends first, just hanging out together, then Abbey went off to Europe for her internship working for the European parliament and when she returned home these two reconnected as friends and went out to a concert together.  That night changed everything, after a few drinks they kissed, and they’ve been together ever since!

Miranda & Jeremy :: Baby Bump

Jeremy and Miranda are such a fun couple and they’re expecting a baby girl soon!  I am so honored that they drove a pretty good distance to the Sacramento area for our Baby Bump session and will be coming back for their newborn session.

Cannon :: Newborn

This little love decided he was going to come early, way early.  He was due mid-December and decided that he wanted to hang out with mom and dad for Thanksgiving!  After spending some time in the NICU he came home and we got him into the studio for his modeling debut.  He was so small at the time of our session, at about 5 lbs, 9 oz if I remember correctly.  He was such a good little sleeper too!

Good-bye 2012, Helloooooo 2013!

I can’t even believe this year is over and we are onto a new one.  2012 was such an incredible year, I don’t know how 2013 will top it, but I am for sure going to try!  I always create resolutions, or what I would like to call “Goals” for each year, personal and business related.  Looking back at the goals I set for myself in my business I am so amazed at how many of them I accomplished this year.  I won my first award for one of my images being a Fearless Award from the Fearless Photographers Group.  I have officially become an International Wedding Photographer, and my plan is to expand that to Portrait Photographer in 2013.  I was honored to have attended a workshop/mentor session with 2 Wedding Photographers I look up to and have so much respect for, that was such an amazing experience!  And I now have an office manager, which I have been needing for a long time now, and I am so proud to call him my husband.  He keeps me sane and helps me tremendously, I would be lost without him!  Those were just a few of my goals for 2012, and I have many more new goals to accomplish for this upcoming year.

Look for 2012 year in review for weddings and portraits coming to the blog soon!

I hope you have a Happy New Year and set many goals for yourself as well!

Here’s a teaser from a wedding I just photographed on the 29th and I am still amazed at the gorgeous weather we lucked out with!
