Keith & Ashlie :: Engaged

Keith and Ashlie met at a party.  According to Ashlie Keith didn’t make a very great impression but on his defense he was tired and a little drunk that night.  Luckily he was able to show his true personality the following day when all of their friends and them hung out together and Ashlie kinda fell for him.  He was such a gentleman and kept her laughing and smiling, and Ashlie has a gorgeous smile as well!

Chris & Danielle :: Married, The Citizen Hotel

Chris and Danielle both have an infectious smile and laugh and I love that they are constantly laughing with each other.  Their gorgeous day was filled with a lot of laughter, tears, smiles and so much fun!  Danielle knew she wanted to get married in Sacramento because that is where she is from, but both her and Chris live in San Francisco and love it there.  So she wanted to get married at a place that reminded them of their favorite city, San Francisco but close to Danielle’s family as well as where she grew up.  The Citizen is very San Francisco-esque, and even walking around downtown with all of the different buildings, colors/textures and different walks of life is very much like being in the big city.  One of the best moments of the day was when the 3 of us were walking down K Street and a woman was singing with her tambourine and immediately started singing to Danielle and Chris incorporating “their new love” in her song.

They were married at the fabulous Citizen Hotel in downtown Sacramento and all of their details came together so perfectly, from the gorgeous flowers, centerpieces and amazing altar by Blooms by Martha Andrews, to the DELICIOUS ice cream sundae table by Leatherbys.  And of course Joe from SJs Disc Jockey got the party started and kept it going!

Thank you so much for having me be a part of your day.  I am so honored I could document such a gorgeous day and this new chapter in your lives and I cannot wait to work with you both in the future when it’s time for baby (in time of course, just enjoy being married first).  Love you guys!

Our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary! :: Personal

5 Years ago today I married my best friend and man of my dreams, and it feels just like yesterday.  Nerves were running on overload for both Scott and me.  Scott went fishing that morning with his dad just outside of Lake Tahoe and I spent the morning with my girls getting our hair and makeup done.  Like a lot of weddings, things ran a bit behind so we didn’t have much time before the ceremony for pictures but it was so important to me to do a First Look so my girls got everything set up on my favorite pier on Lake Tahoe and I walked all the way to the end of the pier where Scott was standing waiting for me.  When he turned around and we kissed that was my most perfect and favorite moment of our whole day!

There were a lot of things I wish I could do over on our wedding day but I would marry that man 1,000 over again.  Scott promised me that we can renew our vows for our 10th anniversary, so I have 5 more years to go, I better start planning now!  The biggest regret I have on our wedding day is not hiring my dream photographer, but at least we have a few images from our day that I like and have shared with you.  For our vow renewal I WILL be spending a lot of money on the photographer!

Over the past 5 years we have been through so much together, lots of laughter and tears and it has only strengthened our bond and our love for each other.  I can not imagine my life without him, he completes me, and I can’t wait to spend another 70 years together!

Daniel & Elidia :: Engaged

Daniel and Elidia were destined to be together from the beginning.   Their parents went to school together in Mexico, then moved to California when they grew up so both families were pretty close.  Daniel and Elidia ended up going to school together but didn’t know each other until in High School a family member introduced them.  They got along so well and just became inseparable.  They dated through High School and then took a break to find themselves and have fun through college but came back to each other and the feelings were still there like they had never parted.  Now they are stronger than ever and so excited to officially become husband and wife!

I had a blast exploring San Francisco with these two, starting in Golden Gate Park and then ending by Fisherman’s Wharf where Daniel proposed on the #3 Cable Car (which we just happened to find and were able to take pictures on!).
