Sundays :: Sacramento Lifestyle Photographer

Sundays are my favorite days of the week.  It’s the only day of the week where we slow down, snuggle in bed watching cartoons with the kids and spend the majority of the day together having fun.  After morning snuggles, Evan and I eat breakfast together while we look through the Sunday ads.  His favorite ads are the Toys R Us and any others that have toys in them so he can tell me that he “needs those toys, mommy!”  We play throughout the day and then end our day with more snuggles on the couch usually watching a movie, and Evan loves laying with or on our dog Cody.  It’s all of these little moments we have as a family on a daily basis that I never want to forget.  These moments when we are our kids whole world, because all too soon these moments will be gone and our kids will be consumed in their own world with their friends when they’re older and then eventually have their own family.

I love this face Evan always makes when he’s thinking.  We asked him what he wanted to do today and he would say “ummmmmmmm, I don’t know”

Milia is just the sweetest little thing and looks just like her sister, Maya, when she was a newborn!

Pee happens during these sessions and I love outtakes!

Caterina turns 1!

Lily :: First Birthday

I was so excited to come to Lily’s home and document her first birthday on her actual birth date.  We some fun with balloons, her favorite stuffed animal, made a sweet mess with her cake and then ended the day with a fun bath!

A day in our life :: Sacramento Lifestyle Photography

The last 2 months have flown by, as they always do with kids.  We’ve had great days and tough days just like every other family but we get through them stronger and with our hearts full.  Knowing how fast this stage in our lives flies by I have been keeping my camera readily available whenever there’s a moment that I never want to forget, but of course sometimes I can’t be quick enough, like when Evan decided he was going to pick up Jacob all by himself and say “look mommy, I hold Jacob!” and he was so proud of himself.  I wasn’t sure if I should freak out or grab my camera, but I played the smart move and quickly helped him set the baby back down on the couch safely before he dropped him onto the hardwood floor.  But just these moments that we have as a family on a daily basis I never want to forget, bath time, playing at the park, the walks we take in our new double stroller, hanging out in the backyard with our fur babies and hanging with grandma when she comes to visit.  All of these moments are gone too quickly and the only photos I regret are the ones I didn’t take, so I am snapping away!
