My newest love is going into a family’s home and documenting them as they are, real life, real smiles.  The Gury family recently added a puppy and kitten to their family of 4 so this was the perfect time to document their life.  Yes, their kids were very active and a little crazy during our session, mom even apologized for how “crazy” her kids were being, but I kept reminding her that’s the point….not necessarily for them to be crazy but just to have fun with each other and with the family and animals like daily life because lets face it, when you have kids life is crazy, there is never a dull moment and while you’re in the moment you’re dreaming of peaceful moments but so quickly we move out of this stage in the family’s life and onto new and bigger things.  Sooner than they know it their kids will be teenagers and won’t play together and love each other like they do right now, and that’s why I love documenting these stages so much, it’s so meaningful, it’s personal.  This is what their mom had to say after seeing her pictures: “We are in love with these!!! I walked away from it feeling like my kids are so hard to get pictures of and to get them to cooperate, I felt the same way the last time you took our pictures too, but just like last time you got so many great shots!!!!”  This is what I live for, this is why I feel so strongly why I’m meant to be a photographer.  To document life, beautiful and chaotic life, but when you see the pictures it’s so beautiful!  I hope you enjoy a peak into the Gury Family…..
